Course Outline:
Welcome to SS 10. This course focuses on Social Studies knowledge and skills. Students will explore several areas of study involving history, geography and political studies. Students will continue to develop Social Studies competencies in the areas of:

Introductory Unit
Unit 1: Canada on the International Stage
Unit 2: Political and Economic Systems
Unit 3: Chinese Canadian Legacies in BC
Unit 4: Canadian Culture and Identity
Course Grading:
Introductory Unit – 5%
Unit Assignments – 30%

Student Responsibilities:
- To complete all assignments to the best of their ability (partially completed assignments will not be accepted)
- To complete assignments in the order in which they are assigned, unless given written instruction otherwise
- To review the feedback given on assessed assignments and complete corrections as required
- To maintain regular contact with teachers
- To work within mutually agreed upon time frames
- To ask for help and clarification when needed
