Our School

Sea to Sky Online School is a District Online School (DOLS) servicing the Sea to Sky School District (No 48). We provide a variety of courses for students in Grades 10, 11, and 12, led by B.C. Certified Teachers providing quality services to our learners. Our roles and responsibilities are guided through the Ministry of Education and Child Care's Online Learning policy and align with SD48's Board of Education residency policies.

 

Located at St'a7mes School: Cultural Journeys, our learning options include synchronous, asynchronous, and blended formats, allowing students to tailor their education to their needs. Students can come visit us at St'a7mes School, or can request a video call. With self-paced courses, our teachers collaborate with students to create personalized learning plans, including schedules designed to ensure timely course completion. We are proud to offer both high accountability and strong support.

 

As many post-secondary institutions integrate online learning and technology into their programs, the skills students develop in our online courses—such as self-directed learning and time management—are invaluable in preparing them for future educational success.

 

At Sea to Sky Online, students have the flexibility to choose courses that align with their goals. They cultivate skills like self-motivation, personal accountability, and effective note-taking. Some students may choose to accelerate their learning or take additional courses to expand their subject knowledge. Our program is particularly beneficial for students who require a more adaptable learning schedule.

 

Online Learning courses are always available to students who reside in the district, regardless of whether or not they are also enrolled in one of our other schools, an independent school, or francophone education authority.
